Julian Spence (runner)

Julian Spence (born 19 October 1961) is a retired Australian long-distance runner who specialized in the marathon. He represented Australia at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, finishing in 47th place. He also competed in the marathon at the 1987 World Athletics Championships in Rome.

Spence is a multiple-time national marathon champion, winning the Australian Marathon Championships in 1987 and 1990. He also won the Gold Coast Marathon in 1987. His personal best time for the marathon is 2:11:27, achieved in 1986.

After his competitive career, Spence remained involved in athletics, working as a coach.
