José Aguilar (baseball)

José Aguilar (born March 26, 1959, in Venezuela) is a former professional baseball player. He primarily played as a second baseman.

Aguilar played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for several teams during his career, including the San Francisco Giants (1984-1987), Cleveland Indians (1988), and Seattle Mariners (1989). He was known as a utility player who could fill multiple infield positions, but second base was his primary role.

Aguilar was signed by the San Francisco Giants as an amateur free agent in 1978. He spent several years in the minor leagues before making his major league debut in 1984. While never an All-Star, he was a reliable role player known for his defensive abilities and occasional offensive contributions.
