John Allison (Canadian politician)

John Allison is a Canadian politician who served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in Alberta. He represented the electoral district of Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner for the Wildrose Party, and later the United Conservative Party (UCP).

Allison was first elected in the 2012 Alberta general election, defeating incumbent Progressive Conservative MLA, Blake Pedersen. He served on various legislative committees during his time in office.

Prior to entering provincial politics, Allison was a businessman and community leader in southern Alberta.

In the 2019 Alberta general election, Allison ran for re-election as the UCP candidate in the newly formed riding of Cardston-Siksika. He was defeated by independent candidate Joseph Schow.
