Jim Prentice (footballer)
James "Jim" Prentice (born February 15, 1936) is a former Scottish professional footballer. He played as a full-back.
Prentice began his senior career with Dundee United in 1954, making over 100 league appearances for the club. He then moved to Scotland's capital, playing for Heart of Midlothian between 1961 and 1966. At Hearts, he was a key member of the squad that won the Scottish League Cup in 1962-63, defeating Kilmarnock in the final. He later played for Raith Rovers, finishing his professional career there.
After retiring from professional football, Prentice remained involved in the sport, working in coaching roles.
