Jeff Schmidt (baseball)

Jeff Schmidt is a former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Minnesota Twins (1996-1998), San Diego Padres (1999-2000), Detroit Tigers (2000-2001), and Kansas City Royals (2001). Schmidt was primarily a relief pitcher. His career MLB record was 12-12 with a 5.20 ERA in 201 appearances. Before his MLB career, he played college baseball at Fresno State University. He was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 10th round of the 1993 MLB draft. After his playing career, Schmidt has worked as a coach.
