Jean Capelle (footballer)
Jean Capelle (7 October 1911 – 20 February 1977) was a Belgian footballer who played as a forward.
Career:
Capelle spent his entire club career playing for Standard Liège from 1928 to 1948. He was a prolific goalscorer, consistently among the top scorers in the Belgian First Division.
International Career:
Capelle was a member of the Belgium national team, earning 34 caps and scoring 19 goals. He represented Belgium at three FIFA World Cups: 1934, 1938, and 1930 (although he did not play in the 1930 tournament). He was known for his speed and finishing ability.
