Interpol (album)

Interpol is the fourth studio album by the American rock band Interpol, released on September 7, 2010 through Matador Records. The album was recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York City. It is the last album to feature founding bassist Carlos Dengler, who departed the band shortly after its completion.

The album marked a shift towards a more collaborative songwriting process within the band, compared to their previous work, where much of the music was initially composed by Dengler. The departure of Dengler led to the addition of touring musicians to perform the bass parts live.

Interpol received generally positive reviews from critics, although some noted a slight departure from the band's signature sound. Several singles were released from the album, including "Lights," "Barricade," and "Summer Well." The album reached number seven on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States.
