Ian Walker (footballer)
Ian Walker (born 31 October 1971) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper.
Career
Walker began his career at Tottenham Hotspur, progressing through their youth system. He made his debut for the club in 1991 and spent over a decade there, making over 250 appearances in all competitions. During his time at Tottenham, he won the League Cup in 1999.
In 2001, Walker moved to Leicester City, where he spent four seasons. He subsequently joined Bolton Wanderers in 2005.
He finished his professional career at Colchester United, retiring in 2008.
International Career
Walker was capped four times for the England national team. He was part of the England squad for Euro 96 and Euro 2004 but did not feature in either tournament.
Post-Playing Career
After retiring from playing, Walker has worked as a goalkeeping coach.
