Ian Paton (bishop)

Ian Paton is a retired Anglican bishop in Canada. He served as the Bishop of the Diocese of Ontario from 2008 to 2018. Prior to his appointment as bishop, Paton served in various parishes within the diocese, including as rector of St. James' Anglican Church in Kingston, Ontario. His episcopate focused on themes of reconciliation, social justice, and strengthening congregational life within the diocese. He holds degrees in theology and has been involved in ecumenical dialogue and outreach initiatives throughout his ministry.
