Hunting Season (web series)

Hunting Season is an American horror-comedy web series created by Jon Bershad, directed by Brendan Bradley, and written by Nat Cassidy and Jon Bershad. It premiered on YouTube in 2012 and ran for two seasons.

The series follows Alex (played by Jake Wilson), a perpetually unlucky-in-love New Yorker who discovers that all of his ex-boyfriends have mysteriously died under bizarre and increasingly violent circumstances. Convinced he is cursed, Alex enlists the help of his best friend Ben (played by Marc Sinoway) to investigate and uncover the truth behind the deaths.

The show blends dark humor with elements of the supernatural, mystery, and gay romance. Recurring themes include the search for love in a modern urban setting, the anxieties of dating, and the exploration of personal curses and fate. Hunting Season gained a cult following for its unique premise, quirky characters, and blend of genres. It is notable for its use of the web series format to tell a complex and engaging story. A third season has not been produced.
