Hamilton Gorges (1711–1786)
Hamilton Gorges (1711 – 1786) was an Irish Member of Parliament. He was the son of Richard Gorges and Lady Amelia FitzWilliam. He represented County Meath in the Irish House of Commons from 1741 until his death in 1786. Little is currently documented about his specific political activities or contributions within the parliament. He married Henrietta Howard, daughter of Henry Howard, 4th Earl of Carlisle, in 1753. They had issue. Gorges resided at Kilbrew, County Meath. Further research is required to provide a more comprehensive biographical account.
