HASTAC

HASTAC (Humanities, Arts, Science, and Technology Alliance and Collaboratory) is an interdisciplinary community of humanists, artists, scientists, social scientists, and technologists changing the future of learning and research through innovative uses of technology. Founded in 2002, HASTAC functions as a network and a platform for collaborative projects, discussions, and resource sharing related to digital humanities, digital media, and technology in education.

HASTAC aims to foster intellectual exchange and experimentation in the digital realm. It supports research, pedagogy, and community building, with a focus on exploring how digital tools and methods can enhance humanistic inquiry and creative expression. Key areas of interest include digital literacy, online learning, open access, and the impact of technology on society.

The HASTAC Scholars program provides mentorship and support for graduate students working in these fields. HASTAC also hosts conferences, workshops, and online forums to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among its members. The organization is committed to promoting equity and inclusion in the digital landscape and often addresses issues of access, representation, and diversity in its work.
