Gulen (fjord)

Gulen is a fjord located in the municipality of Gulen in Vestland county, Norway. It is a significant fjord, penetrating approximately 40 kilometers inland from the Solund archipelago and the North Sea.

The fjord is characterized by its steep sides and considerable depth, typical of Norwegian fjords carved by glacial activity during past ice ages. Several smaller fjords and inlets branch off from the main Gulen fjord, including the Eidsfjorden and the Risnefjorden.
