Gontiti

Gontiti is a Japanese acoustic guitar duo formed in 1978, consisting of guitarist/composers Masahiko "Gonzalez" Mikami (ゴンザレス三上) and Titi "Titi" Matsumura (チチ松村). Their music is generally characterized as mellow, relaxing, and often incorporates elements of bossa nova, classical guitar, and folk music.

The name "Gontiti" is a portmanteau of Mikami's nickname, "Gonzalez," and Matsumura's nickname, "Titi."

They are known for their distinctive and intricate guitar arrangements, often featuring layered harmonies and countermelodies. Their music is popular for use in television programs, commercials, and background music due to its calming and atmospheric qualities.
