Gambhir River (Madhya Pradesh)

The Gambhir River is a river in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is a tributary of the Shipra River, which in turn flows into the Chambal River, a major tributary of the Yamuna River. The Gambhir River originates in the Vindhya Range and flows generally northwards through the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh. The city of Indore is located on the banks of the Khan River, which is itself a tributary of the Gambhir River. The river is primarily used for irrigation and domestic water supply in the region. While relatively small compared to other major Indian rivers, the Gambhir River is an important water source for the surrounding agricultural lands and communities.
