Francisco Moya (bishop)
Francisco Moya (bishop) (born November 27, 1946) is a retired Filipino Roman Catholic prelate. He served as the Bishop of the Diocese of Libmanan in the Philippines from 2008 until his retirement in 2023.
Born in Nasugbu, Batangas, Moya was ordained to the priesthood on April 4, 1972, by Bishop Alfredo Obviar. He served in various parish assignments and diocesan roles within the Archdiocese of Lipa before being appointed Bishop of Libmanan by Pope Benedict XVI on May 27, 2008. He was formally installed as Bishop on July 25, 2008.
As Bishop of Libmanan, Moya oversaw the pastoral and administrative affairs of the diocese, including the spiritual well-being of its Catholic population, the ordination of priests, and the management of diocesan resources. He actively participated in the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) and its various commissions.
Bishop Moya’s resignation was accepted by Pope Francis on April 2, 2023, upon reaching the canonical age of retirement of 75. He was succeeded by Bishop Jose Alan Dialogo.
