Fram (men's handball)
Fram is an Icelandic sports club based in Reykjavík, Iceland. While the club participates in several sports, this entry specifically refers to the men's handball team.
The Fram men's handball team is one of the oldest and most historically successful handball teams in Iceland. They have a long history in the Icelandic handball league, known as the Olís deildin (formerly Úrvalsdeild karla), and have won multiple national championships and cup titles.
The team plays its home games at Framheimilið, their dedicated handball venue in Reykjavík. Framheimilið is known for its enthusiastic atmosphere and support from Fram's loyal fanbase.
Fram’s handball program also focuses on youth development, fostering future generations of players through its junior teams and training programs. The club's success has often been attributed to its strong emphasis on developing local talent.
Throughout its history, the Fram men's handball team has competed regularly in European handball competitions, such as the EHF Challenge Cup and the EHF Cup, representing Iceland internationally.
The team’s colors are generally white and black. Historical records and performance statistics are available through the Icelandic Handball Association and various sports news outlets in Iceland.
