Forspoken

Forspoken is a 2023 action role-playing game developed by Luminous Productions and published by Square Enix. It follows the story of Frey Holland, a young woman from New York City who is magically transported to Athia, a fantastical land on the brink of destruction.

Upon arriving in Athia, Frey discovers she possesses magical abilities and is bound to a sentient, magical cuff named Cuff. She learns that Athia was once ruled by benevolent matriarchs known as the Tantas, but they have become corrupted and tyrannical, plunging the land into a blighted state called "The Break."

Frey's mission is to master her newfound powers, confront the Tantas, and ultimately save Athia from The Break. The gameplay features fast-paced, parkour-inspired traversal and a diverse range of magic abilities that Frey can learn and upgrade throughout her journey. Players explore open-world environments, battle mutated creatures, and uncover the secrets of Athia's history.
