Feng Tang
Feng Tang (馮唐, born Zhang Haipeng 張海鵬 in 1971) is a contemporary Chinese writer, poet, businessman, and former McKinsey consultant. He is known for his novels, essays, and poems that often explore themes of male identity, sexuality, aging, societal expectations, and the complexities of modern Chinese life with a distinctive, often humorous and provocative, voice.
Feng Tang's works often blend elements of classical Chinese literature and philosophy with contemporary language and concerns. His writing style is often described as frank, witty, and occasionally controversial. He gained significant recognition for his novel Beijing, Beijing (北京,北京), which was later adapted into a popular television drama, Ever Youth (春風十里,不如你).
