Desafinado (album)

Desafinado is an album by jazz saxophonist Stan Getz, featuring guitarist Charlie Byrd, released in 1962 on Verve Records. It is widely credited as a seminal recording that helped popularize bossa nova music in the United States. The album primarily features compositions by Antônio Carlos Jobim and other Brazilian composers, interpreting them with a blend of jazz improvisation and Brazilian rhythms.

The album's title track, "Desafinado," is a bossa nova standard, and Getz and Byrd's rendition became highly successful. The album also includes other notable tracks such as "Samba Triste," "O Pato," and "Bahia."
