Debus (crater)

Debus is a lunar impact crater that is located on the far side of the Moon. It lies to the northwest of the larger crater Appolonius, and southwest of the crater Krogh.

The rim of Debus is worn and somewhat eroded, although it retains a generally circular shape. Small craters lie along the rim edge, including one across the northwest section and several more along the eastern side. The inner walls are terraced in places, and slope down to a relatively level interior floor. This floor is marked by several tiny craterlets, but is otherwise relatively featureless.

Debus lies within the Mendel-Rydberg Basin, a 630 km wide impact basin of Nectarian age.
