Davie Johnston (footballer, born 1942)

Davie Johnston (born 28 November 1942) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a winger.

Johnston began his career with Queen's Park in 1960, making 57 league appearances. In 1964, he moved to Partick Thistle, where he became a key player, featuring in 183 league matches and scoring 43 goals. He later joined Dumbarton in 1971, playing 20 league games. His final club was Clydebank, where he played from 1972 until his retirement. Johnston represented Scotland at amateur level.
