David Harrison (cricketer)
David Harrison is an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Oxford University Cricket Club and Somerset County Cricket Club.
Career
A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium-pace bowler, Harrison made his first-class debut for Oxford University in 1985. He played regularly for the university side over the next four seasons, earning his Blue each year. He also made a handful of appearances for Somerset during this period, debuting for the county in 1986.
After leaving Oxford, Harrison joined Somerset on a full-time basis, playing for the county from 1989 to 1991. His most successful season was 1989, when he scored over 500 first-class runs. He struggled to maintain that form and was released by Somerset at the end of the 1991 season.
