David Fleming (priest)

David Fleming (born 1955) is an Irish Roman Catholic priest of the Diocese of Killala. He served as the Administrator of Knock Shrine from 2011 to 2016, before being appointed as Bishop of Killala in County Mayo, Ireland, on April 7, 2020. He was ordained bishop on July 19, 2020, succeeding Bishop John Fleming (no relation). Prior to his appointment as Bishop, Fleming served in various parishes within the Diocese of Killala, including as parish priest of Enniscrone and before that as a curate in Ballina and Belmullet. He is known for his involvement in pastoral care and community engagement within the diocese.
