David Davis (Australian politician)

David Davis is an Australian politician who has served as a Liberal Party member of the Victorian Legislative Council since 1996, representing the Southern Metropolitan Region.

Davis has held a number of senior roles within the Victorian Parliament. He served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council from 2002 to 2006 and again from 2014 to 2018. He was also a Shadow Minister in various portfolios including Treasury, Finance, and Health. Davis served as the Minister for Planning in the Baillieu Government from 2010 to 2014.

Davis's political career has focused on issues of economic management, fiscal responsibility, and planning. He has been a vocal advocate for business and reducing government regulation.
