Cwmdare

Cwmdare is a village and community in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. It is located north of Aberdare and west of Llwydcoed.

Cwmdare is situated in the Dare Valley, from which its name is derived (Cwm Dare, meaning "Dare Valley"). The community includes the village of Cwmdare itself and surrounding rural areas. Historically a coal mining area, Cwmdare has undergone significant changes following the decline of the coal industry.

The area offers access to outdoor activities and countryside walks. The community has a local primary school and various amenities catering to its residents. Cwmdare is part of the Aberdare West/Llwydcoed electoral ward.
