Charles Wilson (Conservative politician)
Charles Wilson (born 27 June 1961) is a British Conservative politician. He was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Rugby from 2010 to 2017.
Prior to entering Parliament, Wilson had a career in business and finance.
Wilson was elected to Parliament in the 2010 general election, defeating the incumbent Labour MP Andy King. During his time in Parliament, he served on several select committees, including the Public Accounts Committee and the Environmental Audit Committee. He also served as a Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to ministers at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).
In the 2017 general election, Wilson lost his seat to Labour candidate, Tariq Ali. Since leaving Parliament, Wilson has returned to the business sector.
