Buddy Burner

A buddy burner is a simple, improvised cooking stove typically made from a metal can, cardboard, and wax (usually paraffin wax). Construction:

The most common method of creating a buddy burner involves rolling corrugated cardboard strips tightly and inserting them into a metal can, such as a paint can or coffee can. Melted wax is then poured over the cardboard, saturating it completely. Once the wax cools and solidifies, the cardboard wicks act as fuel, allowing the burner to be lit and sustained for a considerable duration.
