Bobby Pierce (baseball coach, born 1959)
Bobby Pierce (born 1959) is an American college baseball coach. He served as the head baseball coach at Troy University from 2003 to 2015. Prior to Troy, Pierce coached at Charles Henderson High School in Troy, Alabama, for many years, leading the team to multiple state championships.
During his tenure at Troy, Pierce led the Trojans to five NCAA Tournament appearances (2005, 2006, 2011, 2012, and 2013), including a Super Regional appearance in 2006. He also guided the Trojans to three Sun Belt Conference regular season titles (2006, 2011, and 2013) and two Sun Belt Conference Tournament titles (2005 and 2011).
Pierce was named Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year three times (2006, 2011, and 2013). He retired from coaching at Troy University after the 2015 season, finishing with a record of 437-335 at the school. His overall high school and college coaching record reflects a long and successful career in baseball. Since retiring from Troy, he has remained active in the Troy community and baseball circles.
