Blazhko (crater)

Blazhko is a lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon. It is located to the northeast of the larger crater D'Alembert, and northwest of the crater Buys Ballot.

This crater is relatively well-defined, with a sharp-edged rim that has undergone only minor erosion. The inner walls slope down to a somewhat irregular interior floor that is marked by a few tiny craterlets. There is a slight central peak formation located near the midpoint of the floor.

Blazhko is named after the Russian astronomer Sergey Blazhko.
