Aviacsa
Aviacsa (Aeronaves de México, S.A. de C.V.), was a Mexican airline based in Mexico City. It operated primarily domestic routes within Mexico, as well as some international flights to the United States.
The airline was founded in 1990 and began operations in May of that year. Its initial fleet consisted of Fokker 100 aircraft. Over the years, Aviacsa expanded its network and fleet, operating various aircraft types, including Boeing 737s.
Aviacsa faced financial difficulties throughout its history. The airline was grounded multiple times by Mexican aviation authorities due to safety concerns and unpaid debts. Its operational license was revoked permanently in 2009 due to these ongoing issues.
Prior to its demise, Aviacsa focused on providing low-cost air travel options within Mexico. The airline's route network connected major cities across the country. The airline's main hub was Mexico City International Airport.
