Augustana College (Illinois)

Augustana College is a private, liberal arts college located in Rock Island, Illinois, United States. It is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Founded in 1860 by Swedish immigrants in Paxton, Illinois, the college moved to its current location in 1863.

Augustana offers bachelor of arts degrees in over 90 majors, minors, and pre-professional programs. It is known for its strong programs in the sciences, humanities, and fine arts. The college emphasizes a commitment to international study, undergraduate research, and civic engagement.
