Arthur (footballer, born August 1999)

Arthur Okonkwo (born August 9, 1999) is a professional footballer who primarily plays as a goalkeeper. Born in London, England, he is of Nigerian descent and represents the Arsenal Football Club.

Arthur progressed through the Arsenal youth academy system, signing his first professional contract with the club in 2018. He has represented Arsenal at various youth levels and has been involved in first-team squads as a substitute. Okonkwo spent time on loan with Crewe Alexandra during the 2022-2023 season, gaining valuable first-team experience. After Crewe Alexandra, he joined Sturm Graz in January 2023, showcasing his abilities in the Austrian Bundesliga. In July 2023, he signed with Wrexham A.F.C. on loan, where he notably contributed to the team's success and earned the club's Player of the Season award. He is known for his imposing stature, shot-stopping ability, and command of his area. As of the 2024 season, he is contracted with Arsenal.
