Arcos (Madrid)

Arcos is a district ( distrito) of Madrid, Spain, located in the eastern part of the city. It is one of the six districts that make up the Ciudad Lineal administrative district. Arcos is primarily a residential area, characterized by a mix of apartment buildings and smaller houses.

The district's boundaries are generally defined by Calle de Alcalá to the south, Avenida de la Institución Libre de Enseñanza to the east, Calle de Hermanos García Noblejas (Calle de Arturo Soria) to the north, and Avenida de la Paz (M-30) to the west.

Historically, Arcos developed significantly in the 20th century, mirroring the growth of Madrid itself. It offers a range of local amenities, including shops, schools, and parks. Transportation is well-served by the Madrid Metro, particularly Line 5, with several stations located within or near the district's borders.
