Angamaly
Angamaly is a municipality in Ernakulam district, Kerala, India. Situated approximately 30 km north of Kochi and 25 km south of Thrissur, it is an important transportation hub due to its proximity to Cochin International Airport and its location on National Highway 544 (formerly NH 47) and the Indian Railways network.
Historically, Angamaly was an important center for Syrian Christians and is known for its churches and religious institutions. It is considered one of the oldest Christian centers in India, with connections to St. Thomas the Apostle.
