Alindao

Alindao is a town located in the Basse-Kotto prefecture of the Central African Republic. It lies in the southeastern part of the country. Alindao has been a site of significant conflict and displacement due to the ongoing civil war in the Central African Republic. The town has changed hands between various armed groups, including the UPC (Unité pour la Paix en Centrafrique) and anti-Balaka militias. The civilian population has suffered extensively from the violence, resulting in widespread displacement, loss of life, and humanitarian crises. Alindao is also home to a Catholic Church mission. Access to the town for humanitarian organizations has often been restricted due to security concerns.
