Alikaran

Alikaran is a constructed language (conlang) created by linguist and language creator, Dr. David J. Peterson. It is a highly agglutinative language with a complex phonology and morphology, designed to be grammatically distinct from naturally occurring human languages.

Alikaran features a relatively large consonant inventory and a smaller vowel inventory compared to English. Its grammar relies heavily on suffixes, with words potentially containing multiple affixes that contribute to their meaning and grammatical function. Word order is generally Subject-Object-Verb (SOV).

One notable aspect of Alikaran is its system of grammatical cases, which mark the roles of nouns within a sentence. These cases provide detailed information about the relationships between words and their functions.

Alikaran was created primarily for artistic and world-building purposes, as part of a larger fictional universe. As such, it is not intended for practical communication. While detailed documentation of Alikaran exists, it is not a widely spoken or used language. It serves as an example of the possibilities of language construction and the creation of linguistic diversity.
