Alice Low
Alice Low (1926-2017) was an American author, primarily known for her children's books. She wrote over 50 books, spanning various genres including picture books, beginning readers, poetry, and non-fiction. Her works often explored themes of nature, friendship, and family. Notable titles include "Herbert the Lion," "The Witch Who Was Afraid of Witches," and "Mouse, Mouse, Go Out of My House." Low also contributed stories and poems to children's magazines such as Cricket and Highlights for Children. She received several awards for her writing, including recognition from the Junior Literary Guild.
