6 Equulei
6 Equulei is a star located in the constellation Equuleus. It is a main-sequence star of spectral type F5V. Its apparent magnitude is approximately 6.07, making it faintly visible to the naked eye under very dark conditions. Its distance from Earth is estimated to be around 280 light-years.
The star is a single star, meaning it does not have any known companion stars in a binary or multiple-star system. 6 Equulei is considered to be a relatively ordinary star, similar in characteristics to many other stars in the Milky Way galaxy. There is currently no indication that it hosts any planetary system.
The designation "6 Equulei" follows the Flamsteed designation system, where stars in a constellation are numbered in order of right ascension. This system was devised by John Flamsteed in the early 18th century.
