2017 League1 Ontario season (women)
The 2017 League1 Ontario season (women) was the third season of the League1 Ontario women's division, a pro-am women's soccer league in the Canadian province of Ontario. The season began in May and concluded in October with the championship final. The league consisted of teams primarily located in Southern Ontario.
The season featured a regular season followed by a playoff format to determine the league champion. Teams earned points based on their performance in the regular season matches, with points awarded for wins, draws, and losses. The top teams in the standings qualified for the playoffs.
Durham United FC were the defending champions, having won the 2016 title. Woodbridge Strikers won the 2017 championship, defeating FC London in the final. The season provided a platform for female soccer players in Ontario to compete at a high level, contributing to the development of the sport in the region and providing opportunities for players to advance to professional leagues or university programs. The league continues to serve as an important component of the Canadian soccer pyramid for women's soccer.
