1946 New Year Honours (New Zealand)
The 1946 New Year Honours in New Zealand were appointments by King George VI to various orders and honours to reward and highlight good works by citizens of New Zealand and other Commonwealth countries. They were announced on 1 January 1946.
The honours celebrated the end of the Second World War and recognised services in connection with the war effort, both military and civilian.
