Židenice
Židenice is a district ( městská část) of the city of Brno in the Czech Republic. It is located to the east of the city center and is one of Brno's 29 administrative divisions.
Židenice has a long history, dating back to the Middle Ages. Originally a separate village, it was incorporated into Brno in 1919. The area experienced significant industrial development in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with factories and workshops becoming a prominent feature of its landscape.
Today, Židenice is a mixed residential and commercial area, with a diverse population. It offers a range of amenities, including shops, restaurants, schools, and parks. Important landmarks include the Židenice Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary and the former industrial areas that are gradually being redeveloped. Public transportation provides easy access to other parts of Brno.
