Zhangzi County (simplified Chinese: 长子县; traditional Chinese: 長子縣; pinyin: Zhǎngzǐ Xiàn) is a county in the southeastern part of Shanxi province, People’s Republic of China. It is administered by the prefecture‑level city of Changzhi.

The county lies at approximately 36°07′26″ N 112°52′37″ E, within the North China Plain’s transition zone to the Taihang Mountains. The terrain is a mixture of low hills and valleys, with an average elevation of about 951 m (3,120 ft) above sea level.
