Yves Racine (born January 9, 1969) is a Canadian former professional ice‑hockey defenceman. He was born in Bécancour, Quebec, Canada. Racine was selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the second round, 57th overall, of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft.
Racine made his National Hockey League (NHL) debut with the Detroit Red Wings during the 1991–92 season. Over the course of his NHL career, he played for six clubs: the Detroit Red Wings, Hartford Whalers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Ottawa Senators, New York Islanders, and Los Angeles Kings. He appeared in a total of 384 regular‑season NHL games, recording 17 goals and 44 assists for 61 points, and accumulated 400 penalty minutes.
Following his tenure in the NHL, Racine continued his professional career in North American minor leagues and European leagues. He played for teams in the American Hockey League (AHL), International Hockey League (IHL), and the French Ligue Magnus, among others, before retiring from professional play in 2004.
After retirement, Racine remained involved in hockey through coaching and development roles at the junior level in Quebec. His contributions to the sport include mentoring young defencemen and participating in community outreach programs related to ice hockey.
