Yeerongpilly is a residential and industrial suburb of the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, situated approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south‑west of the Brisbane Central Business District. It lies within the federal division of Brisbane and the state electoral district of Miller. The suburb is bounded by the Brisbane River to the north, the Beenleigh railway line to the east, Ipswich Road to the south and the Brisbane Heritage Railway Line to the west.

Etymology
The name “Yeerongpilly” is derived from the Indigenous Yugarapul (or Turrbal) language, combining yerrong meaning “rain” with the suffix ‑pilly meaning “place of”. Hence, the name is commonly interpreted as “place of rain”.
