Yau Oi Estate (Chinese: 友愛邨) is a public housing estate in Tuen Mun, New Territories, Hong Kong, located near the Light Rail Yau Oi stop. It was the third public housing estate built in Tuen Mun, constructed between 1980 and 1981 on reclaimed land of Castle Peak Bay.
Overview
The estate consists of 11 residential blocks featuring Twin Tower, Old Slab, Double H, and Triple H architectural designs. Upon completion, it was the largest single subsidized housing development in Hong Kong, with 9,153 residential units and a population exceeding 35,000 residents. As of more recent figures, the estate has a population of approximately 26,100.

Location and Transportation
Yau Oi Estate is situated in the central area of Tuen Mun New Town, adjacent to Tuen Mun Town Centre. It is served by the Light Rail Yau Oi stop and is within walking distance (approximately 10 minutes) of the MTR Tuen Mun station.
Education
The estate falls within Primary One Admission (POA) School Net 71, which includes multiple aided schools (independently operated but government-funded). No government schools are located within this school net.
Management
The estate is managed by the Hong Kong Housing Authority.
