Yam Hain Hum

Yam Hain Hum (Hindi: यम हैं हम, lit. 'We Are Yam') is an Indian Hindi-language fantasy sitcom that aired on SAB TV (now Sony SAB) from 26 October 2014 to 11 July 2016. Produced by Swastik Productions, the series reimagines the Hindu deity of death, Yamraj, and his celestial aide, Chitragupt, as they descend to Earth.

The premise of the show revolves around Yamraj's desire to understand human life and emotions better, often feeling that he is unfairly portrayed as a fearsome and uncompassionate figure. Accompanied by his ever-loyal and records-keeping assistant, Chitragupt, Yamraj embarks on a journey to the mortal world. Their adventures on Earth often involve humorous attempts to correct human wrongdoings, dispense justice, and experience life from a human perspective, leading to various comedic situations as they try to adapt to modern society and its customs.

The series starred Manav Gohil as Yamraj and Atul Parchure as Chitragupt, portraying the mythological figures in a lighthearted and relatable manner. The show aimed to blend mythology with social commentary and humor, making it accessible to a wide audience. It explored themes of good versus evil, karma, morality, and the complexities of human existence through its unique narrative lens.
