Windanya is a ghost town located in the Goldfields–Esperance region of Western Australia, approximately 639 km (397 mi) east-northeast of Perth and 44 km (27 mi) northwest of Kalgoorlie, on the road to Menzies.
During the mid-1890s, gold was discovered in the area, and the Australasia mine was established by 1897. Following an increase in population, the townsite was officially gazetted in 1897. The name was suggested by surveyor H.S. King and is an Aboriginal name for a place near Broad Arrow.
The town declined after the gold rush subsided and is now a ghost town. It lies within the local government area of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, at an elevation of 431 m (1,414 ft), with the postcode 6431. Its coordinates are 30°22′44″S 121°15′22″E.
