William L. Taylor (born January 2, 1853, died November 12, 1926) was an American lawyer and Republican politician from Indiana. He served as the 22nd Attorney General of Indiana from 1897 to 1899.
Taylor was born in Greensburg, Indiana. He graduated from Indiana Asbury University (now DePauw University) in 1874. He practiced law in Ligonier, Indiana.
As Attorney General, Taylor oversaw legal matters for the state government. After his term, he continued to practice law. He was a prominent figure in Indiana's Republican Party. Taylor was married to Clara D. Taylor and had children. He died in Indianapolis and is buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Franklin, Indiana.
