William Foster (English cricketer)

William Foster (born 1874, date of death unknown) was an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Oxford University between 1897 and 1899. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler.

Foster appeared in 23 first-class matches, scoring 669 runs at an average of 17.60, with a highest score of 70. He took 17 wickets at an average of 38.58, with best bowling figures of 4 for 61.

His career was relatively brief, and further information about his life and career is scarce. He is not to be confused with other cricketers of the same name.
